Barley Mow Hotel - Pontefract

The staff were polite yet not intrusive. The room was comfy, had clean shared bathroom: )

New-fashioned and decent sized units with WiFi, TV, fine beds were comfortably. Magnificent and absolutely perfect location at a walking distance from Hall. Set close to the Haribo factory and shop as well as the roundabout in the industrialised area.

The shower was poor, but the tv was a nice touch.

Great location, but too noisy

Location's super convenient, right in the nightlife hub. Staff were helpful, but the noise from bars and the surrounding area made it impossible to sleep. The room was clean, but the mattress was terrible, and I could hear everything from next door. The bar area was nice, though. Just not a place for peace and quiet after a long day.

The location is ideal for nightlife and amenities. Clean and helpful staff add charm. Noise levels from nearby bars can be disruptive, and not all facilities functioned well.

great central spot for parks and shopping excursions

I loved how close this place was to Pontefract's Valley Gardens, just a short stroll away, making it perfect for a relaxing afternoon walk, and the Carlton Lanes Shopping Centre was within a quick drive, great for picking up local goodies and enjoying the atmosphere.

The room had a flat screen tv, but the mattress was awful. Despite the location being central, other aspects didn't quite match up to my expectations during this family holiday.

My stay at Barley Mow was enjoyable with a vibrant atmosphere and a central location ideal for exploring Pontefract. The noise from the nightlife made it challenging to relax, especially late at night. I appreciated the clean room and friendly staff.

Great location, helpful landlord, delicious breakfast.

The owner was super friendly. The location was great, really central n close to shops and places to eat. The room was clean and had the basics i needed. The breakfast was decent for what i paid. It was a decent quick stay.

But the noise from outside was unbearable and the shower tray was cracked. There was no hot water in the basin taps

Central location made it easy to enjoy nearby pubs and nightlife. The shower didn't work properly and the room was a bit rough around the edges.

The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore the town. I appreciated that the staff was helpful in directing me to nearby parking. Unfortunately, the room I stayed in was quite outdated and could have used some cleaning. I had a few issues with the bathroom amenities which made my stay less enjoyable.
